I just had my '58 painted snowcrest white and looking at the Corvette paint chart that was published in On Solid Ground, the 58-59 color is as follows:
--DuPont Lucite Acrylic lacquer is 2697-L
--R-M Acrylic lacquer stock # is A-986
--Ditzler acrylic lacquer is DDL 8160
--R-M lacquer (not acrylic) is 986
I gave these codes to my painter and he had no problem getting his supplier to match them to today's numbers and I got a great
color on the car.
