I believe the motor is standard bore as it was just pulled from the original car.The owner is building a restomod and wants to sell the original motor. He is keeping the tripower,ex. manifolds, distributor, and alternator. It still has all of the numbers on the pad

Who cares about the matching numbers, it only matches the Vette he`s keeping. The engine is only marginal good to the original car that the seller is keeping. It`s a 2 bolt main oval port engine with a hydraulic cam. The seller dont want it, or he wouldn`t be trying to sell. He wants one that s stronger or bigger. Funny though the tri power will only fit a oval port engine. Maybe he thinks what hes keeping will bring good money for his need on the rod...I think you would have a hard time selling it at anywheres over 1K for a mis-matched engine..'''Suggestion, pass on it,

It"s not worth anything to anybody but the guy with the orig. car. And it's a 400 HP. No big deal. I just sold the orig eng. from an LS5. Carb to pan. Good running motor. The guy put it in a 70 Chevelle. Whole deal running $2000.00. And I was happy to get that.

just going by what you say here the motor should be worth $4000.00.A '67 427 corvette is worth twice what a LS5 Chevelle is worth.

Just sell to one of the engine re-stampers... the range of possibilities is almost unlimited for a 67.

It is still hard for me to take in that someone would pull an original 427/400 low mile engine out of that car.

I have seen Tri Powers at Carlisle going from 2800-5000 depending on numbers on them. The running motor 427-400 would bring 2k or more . Just my opinion.

Aint that the truth!

No but seriously, 351 blocks are the big coin 427's no matter what anybody says. 3k for a bare block with issues last year at this time you could have sold as many as you could get, now however could be another story.

Taking it out to put in a street use engine is one thing, but selling the original engine is just plain !!!
