327 engine block
A few months ago I bought a bare 327 Chevrolet engine block off E-bay. It has a casting number of 3858174 which translates to 64 to 67 passenger, chevelle, camero or truck. Also 66 Corvette, 300 or 350 HP. The engine stamp pad reads F0527Y. The F is for Flint, 0527 is for May 27th, but what does the Y mean as far as vehicle type, HP or transmission? Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.
