Default another stamp number question

Thank you Mike M I apppreciate you helping me with this question, in the future I will be careful not to annoy anyone with my questions, although I thought that is what this forum was for....excuse me for being so stupid. This does not include the member s who want to help other members.

I understand the guys that have cars that have their original engines being a little miffed, I have a 57 with the original power train, it does not bother me one bit what someone else does with their car, like I said there are not many cars that are original, I cannot prove that mine 57 is except that I bought it from the original owner who is dead.

I have owned five Corvettes in 15 years, I don't know everything ,that is why I ask questions from people I hope will be helpful, not hurtful.

I will still use the forum as I know there are many members who are realistic about this hobby. thanks Mike

You're welcome.

I took the time to read your profile and noticed you had an original power train '57. That has to be an extremely rare situation.

I also have an original powertain '65 but I don't enjoy it near as much as the '63 that I changed the engine in.

This is the internet. It's just a discussion board and when you get this many people in a pile, you're going to have widely differing opinions on any given subject. I wouldn't worry a bit about annoying someone. After all, this is a hobby, not a business. Sometimes, those who squeal the loudest are thought to have the most correct thoughts but that's not always the case.

I think you know a lot more that you let on, Mike.. You have posts RE: 56, 57,58,63,64 and 69 car issues, including putting a 62 engine in your 63 that concerned restamping that 62 engine to make it "correct" in the 63.
I believe that's a fraud if you sell it to anyone without disclosing the restamp That's my opinion. Roger

Thanks again Mike for your reply, sometimes this forum is just like politics and it ain't fun.

Roger to answer your question, yes when I bought the car it came with a 62 block, standard bore, which when checked showed two cracks....no I did not weld it, no I did not use it, instead can you guess who I bought a correct block from, I know it is making you crazy because you feel everyone who wants to make their car numbers matching is in it for the money and deception, someone said it earlier " do you know what it cost to bring a car up to NCRS levels.....you probably don't care....I know few people who have made money doing that...oh yes like you ,if I sell the car I will acknowledge NOM
