Any advice on this one - new restoration just completed on a car that my cousin had done - 1967. He turned on the wipers to make sure they work, and they went down into the cowl....and once the arms were removed the washer pump will not prime, although the motor runs....
Is it possible to reverse a wire for the motor to run the opposite direction, or is this a mechanical installation error - and if reversed, will this make the pump prime for the washers. Thanks so much.
Maybe the wiper arms are connected to the motor wrong. Note the relation of the rods coming from the wiper motor, to the "clocking" of the lever at the wiper assembly to which it is attached.
Here are pictures of my 65, with the wipers at rest.
