Default 1963 corvette

Correct me if Im wrong ?? I have a 63 with the samll borg warner T-10
I understand the first year muncies used a 421 one off bell housing??
So in that case will the muncie and the borg warner interchange??
Without bell housing change. Reason I ask is I want to put a big shafted
Muncie in car. Do I need to start looking for a bellhousing???
Such as a 403 or 421 for a 10 1/2 clutch setup. #s are not a hang up.
Or even a 621 or 444 for 11 inch setup Or the 10 be enough 340 hp 327

Hi Larry,

Late 63's with Muncie transmissions used a small diameter front retainer and mated with the same 421 bellhousings as the Borg/Warner T-10s. In 64, the larger dia front retainer was used on the muncies with the swtich to the 403 bellhousings.

I have a 403 bellhousing in great shape for $75. Can sent pics if interested.
