Default 1956 Frame

What years would a 1956 frame fit and what is it worth as a complete rust free rolling chassis??

The 55 through 62 will be essentially the same.
The 55 through 58 will be nearly identical.
The 55 Through 57 will be even closer.
Even though 55 had a totally different body, the frame should be the same as a 56. The BIG difference between a 53-4 and 55 frame is the notch in the 55-later frames for the fuel pump.
I don't believe anything changed for the 56 frame.
The 56-7 frames will be the same, EXCEPT, later 57 frames got an additional bracket welded to the outside of the frame above the forward part of the rear leaf spring for attachment of a rubber rebound bumper.
The 57-8 frames will be the same, thus, that added bumper bracket on the late 57 frames will also be on 58 frames. This bracket was no longer on 59-62 frames.
The 59 frames will have the added brackets for the factory traction bars (radius rods) that tied to the rear axle housing. Also, 58 rear corss members (as well as 59-62) will have threaded weld nuts inside the cross member for attachment of the rear bumpers.
The 60-62 frames will have even another bracket welded to the inside of the rear frame rails for attachment of the rear sway bar that was only on 60-62 models.
The basic 55-62 frames will be the same, with the added brackets as mentioned for later 57-62) years. So if a person had a junk frame for their year model, but it still had the brackets that were unique fror that year, they could be cut off of the old frame and welded to the new frame. Also, at the rear cross member, for 58-62 models, something would need to be done for attachment of the rear bumpers.
Hope this helps.
Price???????????? I'm sure whatever price I mention will be toooooooooooo low. But I'm going to say $3000-5000.
