I AM LOOKING TO FIND OUT WHAT THE CODES ON THE BACK OF THE DASH CLUSTER MEAN. THIS WOULD BE THE WHITE LABEL WITH TWO RED LETTERS.ANYONE KNOW WHAT THEY REPRESENT AND IS THIS A CLUE TO THE ORIGIN OF THE CAR.I TRIED LONG ISLAND CORVETTE, THEY SELL THE STICKERS BUT WILL NOT TELL ME WHAT THEY MEAN. ANY HELP. THANKS, WES

Wes,
I don't have the decoding book but the sticker description sounds correct. I also found a date stamp on the back of my cluster, it reminded me of the date stamp that many offices would have. Here is a photo of the sticker and the date stamp. Hopefully someone who can decode the sticker will pipe in!
Rick
P.S. My car is a 67 327/350 L-79 w/o speed warning.

as near as I can tell:

LA - 300 hp [65-67]
LB - 365 / 375 / 425 hp [65 – 67]
LC – 350 [65 – 67]

ecl for diff cluster combinations (tach and oil pressure varied depending on engine)

actually, I can update that summary (prepared by me a few years back based on reported responses) to include 67 300 hp in the LA group.

I have no clue if the inclusion of the speedminder generated a different ecl, I am willing to bet not, however. What does your speedo have on it, in terms of the two-letter sticker?

Default Dash cluster codes 1966

THE BACK OF MY DASH CLUSTER HAS THE LETTERS "LB" . THE DATE ON THE BACK OF THE CLUSTER SEAMS CORRECT ACCORDING TO BUILD TAG. HIGH RED LINE ALL THE TELL TAIL SIGNS OF A BIG BLOCK, GAS LINE 90 DEGREES, SWAY BARS, BIG RADIATOR, BIG BLOCK HOOD,HOOD PROP ON THE LEFT SIDE,TI IGNITION, RAD SUPPORT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR BACK IN 1981 HAVE KEPT IT IN A GARAGE ALL THESE YEARS AND MY SON AND I ARE GOING TO BE STARTING A BODY OFF REBUILD. THE CAR DIDN'T HAVE THE CORRECT ENGINE IN IT ,BUT I WAS PRETTY SURE IT WAS A BIG BLOCK CAR. I JUST DIDN'T KNOW IF IT WAS A 425 OR A 390 HP. NOW I BELIEVE THAT IT IS A 425 HP CAR. TO BE CONTINUED. THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR INPUT. THANKS,WES

Default mine fits

My 65 L76 365 hp car bears LB code on back of cluster. I am not limber enough and my eyes don't work well enough to make out the date stamp, but it should be May or June 1965.
