You sure it's HC? HC for 65 looks to be like a full-size Chevy, not a Vette.

it is imposseble.a vette bloc in those yearsis stampedat the site of the passenger 870.you have to find the date the car was produced.normaly the block were produce 2 weeks before.example my vette was produced in the second week of may 1963 .my block in front is molded d29.what does it means. Ais january b is february c is march d is april.on the stamping block on the passenger side what is a matching number means.the first number is the year of the vette.ex 1963 vette serial114000.first number3114000 after f means flint date example april 04 date29 re means carburator engine.if it is a fuelie engine it will be ritten.rf means roadter fuelie.you have to find an 870 block.
