Most likely they would be roughly in the same time frame, give or take a few weeks. Recognize that NO ONE in the factory paid ANY attention to the dates on ANYTHING; all they cared about was the correct part number for the application, whether it just came off a rail car or had been sitting in the last row in off-line storage for a month or two.

My L79 66 was assembled aprox April 7, 1966 vin #(18645)
Block was cast March 28 C 286
Transmission March 21 P 0321
However my clock had 07 66 ???
Harmonic bal C 66
Most as JohnZ stated, a few months or weeks before, but not after
