There is an undocumented L88 69 roadster on the Bay. The last picture shows the pad on the passenger front of the block. Does that pad look like it has been decked, or not? Rich

Looks like a vey well done clone. Engine pad looks like a belt sander job...possibly.

Need an expert midyear opinion.

From the ad - "its current undocumented state (as a clone)" I think that says it all.

Just curious, but is there much difference in performance on the street with street exhausts between an L88 and an L71?

Give the guy credit- he's not trying to stretch the truth or be vague in the least about the car's origin.

Nice to see an honest ad for once.

I do like the garage but the car's rear stance and ride height is not right.

Just my .02

In the process of buying my 67 big block recently, I've learned more about broach marks and stampings than I ever cared to know. I feel like I can confidently declare that to be a restamp. As others said, it's not being presented as the genuine article.

Funny how my learning curve has been the opposite. The more I see the less I feel can make an absolute positive no doubt about it statement, especially from a photograph on the internet.

Please email me if you would like a copy of the report. I am selling the car as a L88 tribute because the car is undocumented."

Also, the BIN price is only $60,000 - it is CLEARLY priced not as if it was a true 69 L88, or even possibly one.

I have to admit to liking this car for what it is - a Black / tan 69 vert with a L88 BB tribute engine in it, and BB looks to complete the tribute.

I'd like a little less black spray bomb restoration on the underside, hoverer, but it doesn't look too horrible there. Convert top looks ratty too. I'd let the C3 forum boys advise on a proper value, and note that not having the trim tag could be a serious deduct, value-wise.

I like L88 clones. That car should be a blast to drive. He is not presenting it as an original L88 nor is he asking for a real L88 price. My only concern would be the absent trim tag and the apparent need for paint.

Good summation, Jack.

I thought that pad looked a little strange, it seems a little fresh, but I wanted another opinion. Rich
