62 Window Regulator

62 Window Regulator

Hey all... it appears that the connector on the regulator to the window crank is stripped and finally gave up the ghost... the window crank is not stripped... just the part to the regulator... question is... can that be replaced or repaired without changing out the entire regulator or do I just carry a pair of pliers with me or plan on driving with the window down forever?

Hey all... anyone have any idea where I can buy just the Window regulator handle shaft? I have found every other part online but cannot find the shaft....

Had the same problem on my '57. I found one from a '58 full size chev. that was the same.

Corvette Central sells just the shaft for 68-80 for $12 and I am wondering if I can manufacture a solution from that...

if the handle will fit on the new one, but the gear teeth are not right to fit the 62 regulator, then you could cut the good part you need off the new shaft and have it welded onto the old shaft or gear.
