Default Window installation question

My driver side window as hanging up for some reason and I need help figuring this out. The window is stuck in the up position

first of all it is a 63 coupe. Eventually, the window was pretty much stuck in place. I took the inspection plate off and noticed that my upper regulator guide rail was bent. It was difficult to get out but I eventually got it out. It is bent and I need a new one as I don't think I can beat it back straight enough. The regulator mechanism will now roll down.

Looking at the bottom of the window where it goes into the channel of the ventilator assembly (front window channel) and all looks good. It seems properly seated.

Looking at the rear, I notice the bracket of the window sash (that part the window is mounted in) is inside the rear run assembly (rear channel).( The bracket I am talking about is actually that bracket that bolts the upper regulator guide rail to the window sash.) It looks like it is binding. To me, it does not look like that bracket should be inside the rear run assembly.

Anyone know whether the window sash rear bracket is supposed to be inside the channel of the rear run assembly (rear glass channel)?

Default Nope, that's your problem

The glass was installed into the sash incorrectly. Too far forward, with not enough glass extending beyond the rear of the sash channel.

The glass needs to be removed and reinstalled into its channel, so that the bracket is forward of the rear window fuzzy.

Somewhere around here is a great illustrated tutorial of how to replace a coupe side window. Dave Z. author. It's not too hard, just a few tricks to the sequence of operations.

Default Glass

Before you remove the glass from the sash, place a witness mark with a felt tip marker on the glass and sash. This will allow you to define your starting point. I had to move the glass in the sash a few times before I got it right. I set the glass in the sash with a rubber mallet and more than a few pieces of carpet. Jerry
