'63 to mid-'64 RH pad had a plastic insert for the handhold attached with 4 screws.
Mid-'64 through '66 had six screws for the handhold insert.
'67 didn't have the handhold at all.
Also, they used a different "graining" pattern in the vinyl pad, I believe. One was called the "Seville grain" and the other the "Madrid grain", going from memory.
