The trim tag should show 491N + a second letter. The base units were 491NA which replaced the 491BE ECL effective 3-25-64 thru end of production. I don't see anything in my references that shows any blue carpet being installed from the factory for the primary "N" (silver and blue vinyl) ECL.

A had no idea it would be so confusing try and figure out this puzzle.
My car has been in the family since new so I can vouch for it being original from the factory (at least until I get the new carpet installed, which is sold as "Silver carpet").
But since mine's a coupe and has a different code designator than yours, I have no idea any more.
