I use a C-4 boot in mine. It's long and skinny and I slip it over the original one and let console hold it down. It looks nice and seals great. It's got a little more room in it too so the shifter doesn't tear it up.
These are the only pics I have right now..but they will give you an idea. My shifter is taller/bigger than stock..it's from Long Engineering. So that hold it up a little higher...but we've used them on regular Hurst's and OEM.
A little boy that was with his Dad at the races wanted to sit in the car.
My niece practicing her gear jamming...
A shot while I was working on something...excuse the mess!
Boot fits nicely - its great that you let a fella's child sit in your car for a thrill. I do that a lot at car shows so folks can get pictures of themselves or their kid in the C1...just might get another person or two into the hobby...
Thanks....I do it all the time. I remember how it made me feel when someone let me sit behind the wheel!
It was funny...we were at the races and the kid came running up with paper and pen and wanted my autograph after a good 9 sec wheelie run! He was serious and wasn't leaving without it! So I signed it saying he could outdrive me anytime and we took the picture to prove it to his friends!
Hey...we gotta get folks interested in taking care of this stuff when we're gone!
