oxidized bumpers
I have a 60 corvette that was stored for quite a few years and has rear oxidized bumpers. The bottoms shine great, but the top of the bumpers need attention. SOS pads helped but is there anything else thats works better?

I agree on the never dull. I would also follow that up with some Dupont #7. It is a liquid but has abrasives that help clean and shine chrome that isn't in very good shape. It's available in most Auto Parts stores. Comes in a small can.

If you've already used SOS pads on the chrome, I'd say nothing is going to help now. Very fine grade steel wool can be used to polish chrome, but an SOS pad is more like the pubic steel wool if there ever was one.

nothing abrasive should be used on chrome, especially steel wool. While chrome might seem like a hard finish it scratches very easily. Compare a recently show chrome plated piece and an older good piece and you easily see what scratches do to the finish. Neverdull is the best and one of the few polish/cleaners you can use.
