Photo of NCRS correct under hood paint for '63
The NCRS judging manual says that the hood should be a flat gloss black with the body color around the perimeter, or something like that. does anyone have a photo of what that exactly looks like? I would like to get my 63 hood proper in terms of the paint applied to it. particularly around the perimeter.
thanks

The outer edge of a midyear hood underside looks like the photo below; the blackout pattern/coverage at and forward of the hinges varied widely - they used a cardboard mask, and it didn't extend past the hinges. The separation line in the photo was taped when it was restored - on original cars, the line was created by the cardboard mask, and wasn't as sharp as a taped edge.
