I have a CTEK - they sent it to me for FREE when they were launching their new product line as they were looking for "testers". It's awesome!!! - very high quality. I would highly recommend them!!!

I've just replaced a battery that was 7 years old, it had always been on a battery tender when parked for any length of time. The battery still tested good I just had a fear of a 7 year old battery.

I also have them on 2 other vehicles with excellent results.

One is a C4 that had become normal routine for a battery and alternator replacement after a year or so. Have gone 4 years now without a problem.

Battery tenders:

I go to Advance Autoparts and they have something similar for about $35, I have 5 of them on the various cars. Started long ago with Battery Tenders, but they are pricey if you need a lot of them...only way to keep the batteries up....

I also have a CTEK. Very high quality. Comes as standard equipment on high end cars like Bentleys and some Ferraris. Nice unit. I use it on my newer Vette because of all the computers that don't fully go to sleep. Works fine on the older cars as well.

I use Battery Tenders on my cars and boats. They run about 60.00 each, but have been very happy with them.

There are lots of "trickle chargers" on the market and the prices vary accordingly. The BatteryMINDer is just one of them. However... it does have a somewhat unique feature that I have yet to see in any of the others...

"VDC Electronics Battery Maintenance Chargers are designed to both properly charge and maintain all type/size lead acid batteries, without ever overcharging, even after months of non-use. All BatteryMINDer models feature exclusive U.S. Patented PulseMode desulphation circuitry, designed to safely remove the #1 cause of early battery failure, Sulphation. Plus, all units are polarity reversal-short circuit-temperature protected."

I bought my first one about 6 years ago when I discovered them on the internet and have never had any problems with them. I rotate it among my toys so it rarely gets a break. I even bought a spare for the inevitable occasion when it does quit.

I also bought a Battery Tender a while back for my mower that is stored in a different building. One of the vendors was having a sale and frankly everyone was talking it up so I took the plunge. It quit charging within a month, however... the vendor replaced it no questions asked and even paid shipping. The replacement has performed just fine for the past two years. I went through all of the literature carefully and it does not claim to desulfate batteries if that is important to you.

I think you made a good choice Scott and expect it will perform as advertised...

Good luck... GUSTO

I have a Battery Tender, Battery Minder, and 3 Lectric Limited drip chargers. Never had a failure. I have a 9 year old tar top battery that still fires like new. I wouldn't be without them.

Default Battery tender

I've been using Battery tenders for years. Available at your local Harley-Davidson dealer for about $40. Paul
