Default Carb for 1966 - Date code help

What should the date code be on my carb? Specifically I am trying to determine the earliest and latest date code of a carb that would have been installed when the car was built. Currently it has a carb from 1966 in it.

The car is a 1966 that was built the first week of November 1965.

Thanks.

I would look for something from September or October 1965. ie: 591 to 504.

The carbs were installed at St Louis, and anything up to six months before your car build date is okay. (NCRS allows a 6 month time period prior to the car build date as correct for judging....although typical is around 2 to 8 weeks before the car build date).

Dang it, your car's too early (mine's mid-March 1966). I guess I'm going to drive over there and steal your carburetor.

Anyone have info on good sources for these date coded carbs or do you just stamp them yourself?

They are date stamped at the factory.
