Can someone tell me what this block casting number denotes please? Guy says its a 58 vette block and heads. Number is #3737739. I know i'll also need the cast date # also. (Lost my 'black book'). Thanks.

That casting number is correct for '58 and early '59 engines:

The 739 block was used in Corvettes and passenger cars in 58 and possibly some early 59's.

OK, thanks guys...I'm awaiting his return call for a casting date, head #'s, and condition...I'm jealous of you both! Hows that Florida weather? About 30 days of rain here in boston since June 1st...Know of any decent garages with homes attached cheap down there? (HAHA).Anyway, thanks for your help.
