Default Frame question

Just wondering if all of the midyear frames had the holes for the exhaust pipes in the crossmember in front of the rear wheels. They didn't make two seperate crossmembers for the side exhaust and the under car exhaust did they? Is this any clue weather you originally had the off road exhaust package or not? This question came up at one of our Colorado wrench and drunk festivals.

Thanks
Kurt

Nope all frames are the same. Only difference is Coupe and Convertable.

Also: Side exhaust cars get a spacer at the rear motor mount in place of the exhaust support.

I think that the rear exhaust cars have tabs welded to the bottom of the frame rails for securing the rockers. The side exhaust cars don't.
