Default 66 leaf spring color

Anyone know the correct color gray to paint a 66 leaf spring. I have had people tell me to paint it the same light gray as the shocks but I think it should be darker. Am I correct and if so what brand/type did you use?. Thanks.

I am still waiting for my to be released NCRS judging manual to be released and would like to get something painted correctly. Are there any other books besides the NCRS I could use for the correct reference?.

Default Grey Paint

I bought mine from Bair's Corvette just over the boarder
from Ohio into PA. Not sure of a national brand that is the match
for the gray.

Seymour Hi-Tech Dove Gray, #16-112 is excellent for finish coat. First spray your freshly sand blasted leaves with a self-etching (gray) primer for good adherence. I've never found a convenient local source for Seymour paints, but have obtained them through their online website. (Excellent stuff & their Chevy Orange can't be beat either.)
