anyone replace a 58 corvette firewall ?
Hi.... I just bought a 58 vette basket case. It was a race car and it was chopped up during its race days. One of the things they did was to cut the firewall and move it back about 6 inches. I want to bring the firewall back to its original position.
Has anyone done this before and can provide some insight as to how difficult it will be...........
Does anyone sell the two sections that make up the top and mid sections of the firewall ?

Understand anything can be done. Appreciate info by someone who has replaced a firewall. Tried to post a picture but was not sucessful. Will try again......
But looks like the top has been cut out and made smooth. Looks like part of the floor was cut so the firewall could be moved back to fit a 426 Hemi.
Would really like to find someone who has a firewall for sale or someone who can reprodure the parts.

HI..... no the car I bought is in Hawaii. In fact I bought a 58, 60, 62 and an Art Morrison frame set up for the 58/60 in a package deal. Want to use the 58 but the problem is the firewall. Hope to go with a Lsx transplant. Anyway a long road ahead.............. Tx walt
