Call Al Knoch Interior and see how much it costs to have your originals re-covered. Al does that...I thought it may help. 1-800-880-8080
The cost increase is relative to the amount of plastic (which it is basically all plastic) used in its construction and seeing how it is crude oil based, there is your cost increase. many of these companies bought there supplies when the prices were at $4+ a gallon for gas, (probably fearing that the prices where going out of sight) and now that it has come down for us at the pump, they are still holding onto stock that is at a higher price. It may take some time for it to go down....if ever. OR...they are just trying to survive the economy like many of us....and having to charge more...because many others are doing the same. Can't upset THE ALL MIGHTY STOCKHOLDERS.
