I think he means no trim tag. The picture is pretty fuzzy, but it looks like the vin tag is in place. No trim tag though. Probably not a bad deal if the title is good. My guess is we'll soon see another BB/427 car with that vin number soon!!!!!

I take that back!!! Just noticed it's a 63, so it'll be a fuel injected car instead.

I'm not sure what he means. Probably why he says to call before bidding, he wants you to know exactly what you're bidding on!!

(Probably not a bad idea at all!! )

I think the "no tin" reference is very clear.

He's the proud owner of that mystery all metal vette, which is unfortunately missing the body (in tin) and the proud new owner of this priceless piece of corvette history will need to have a new metal body fabricated for it.

Or maybe not.

Not the first time this was posted. No tin means no VIN tag or trim tag. Seller originally tried selling just the paperwork. When that didn't fly, he threw in this piece of a 63, missing all of the "tin".

He is effectively selling a title.

Are you sure? I cant blow it up enough, but it looks like the VIN plate is there (on the left) but not the trim tag.

With Jerry:

Perhaps the poster is originally from Texas where they don't have one syllable words (you know; words like Sheeee It ! ! !) and he misspelled "nothin" into "no tin".

Saw something very similar at Carlisle years back. My wife asked me what that chunk of firewall was good for. I told her it was good for someone with a stolen car to turn it into a legal car with State DMV via paperwork and vin tag.

I don't know that this is the case in this instant matter.
