1957 Horns
What are the correct part numbers for the 1957 horns?
My AIM shows part numbers 9000339 RH and 9000340 LH.
I see horns advertised for 1953 to 1957 as original horns and numbered 861 and 861.
What is the 861/862 application or is my AIM wrong?

Of course, I presume you realize that once the horns are installed in a 53-57 Vette, they can't be seen. I've never seen a judge crawl up in there (effectively) with a mirror and light to see the part numbers.
Now, with that said, if you want some REALLY good horns that will get their attention, install a pair of 53-54 pass car horns (they're 6v). They are the same physical configuration as the Vette horns.
Ever heard a 6v horn on 12v? WOW! They'll know you're there!

Thanks for the above. I went back and checked my book, and I just noticed some revision numbers.
My AIM was originally dated 7-15-55. It seems at that time, the RH horn was 1999759 and the LH was 1999760. On Oct 22, 1956 those numbers got changed to 9000339 and 9000340. Who knows when that change was made on the assembly line!
