Default Redline radials

I am finally going to get some redline radials for my car. I am trying to get them so they look as close as I can to the original redline bias ply's. Did the originals have the letters on or were they smooth with no letters. I am thinking of going with 215/75/r15 or 205/75/r15

Thanks,
Mike

When I ordered the RL radials for my current '69, the salesman at Diamond Back insisted I order 225-70s. I said the 215-70s are the correct replacement for the F70 in 1969, right? He said yes but they would be too tight a fit to mount on the 8" Rallys.

I went with the correct size and Im glad I did.

The original radial size was actually 195's, I bought the Michelin's 2 months after purchasing my new '67 back in the day(don't believe they're made anymore tho).

Now as far as looking like the original bias ply tires, don't think that will happen, unless you consider a 50 footer perspective.
