Decode my engine suffix - PLEASE!
I have a '67 vette with a 427 that we thought was a 390 horse motor. However it has the 3885069 intake, 3904391 heads, and goes like stink. The engine code is T0214T1 (or TI?). What is the T1? Is this a Tonawanda factory warranty motor, or an L88? Perhaps someone took the 3x2 off of an L71, and put on the 4bbl? The sequence number in front of the code confirms that this is the numbers matching block to my car. The car has a build date of March 8 67, so the engine build date code of Feb 14 fits.

Got it figured out.
I cleaned up the stamping really good, and T1, turned out to be IL (the bottom of the suffix was not very well indented), which is the 390 horse engine. The heads and intake were obviously added after. They would have had to change to the low dome pistons for the closed chamber head too, so now not really sure what the internals are, and it runs too good to take apart. Guessing they went to a hot cam too, because this car really hauls!
