Default Trailing arm question

Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 63-64 T- Arms and the 65 and later ones OTHER THAN the top bumper plate and extra bracket on the later arm???? Anything subtle alignment wise that might be different because of drums vs. discs? I have drums.

It seems I have 1 of each on my car, and I was thinking of removing them to replace the bushings anyway. They otherwise are in good shape, no rust. I checked the toe in alignment and it looks good. I did notice the shims on the early arm side can be moved by hand pressure where as the other (65 - later side) don't budge. The shims can't fall out in any case as they have holes at both ends (not slots).

I was thinking of just welding a top bumper plate on the early Arm to match (my rear frame has the later 65 style frame rubber bumpers and the early one won't make any contact since it lacks the top plate) and putting everything back with new bushings. Does anyone see a problem with that? Am I missing something here???? Pilot Dan

The only difference is the bump stop tab and the extra bracket like you mentioned.

Thanks for confirming that. You guys do amazing work BTW!

Any thoughts about the shim movement on the one side? They are not sloppy loose, but I can move them with hand pressure. Both arms have an equal amount and placement of the shims on each side.
