Hey I have some new weather stripping to put on the trunk lid of my '57 but i'm not exactly sure how its suppossed to go on. I was hoping that someone could post a picture of how thier's is on thier trunk so that I can do it right. It would be greatly appreciated.

If you look closely at the weatherstrip, you'll see two "flats" on it. That fits into the corner on the trunk. Start at the bottom center, and work around the trunk. Don't pull the weatherstrip tight, just let it lay naturally. When you come around to the center/bottom again, trim it off so that there is a gap of 1/4" to 3/8" where they butt together. It can be done with the trunk on the car, but it's much easier, and you'll get a nicer job if you remove it for the rubber installation.

Thanks for the instructions. Would you happen to have a close up picture of the trunk lid with the weatherstripping installed?
