I have to take out the driver side motor. I have the nice pitures to go by. . A couple question. witch way would you turn the wheel to put the bucket up Would you turn it back clockwise? Also i think i read that you should not sand the spindle and the contact area of the motor ? Also do you just turn the gear 180 I know you can not turn it over. Thanks in Advance

I don't recall for sure, but I want to say that you turn the wheel in the direction the headlight bucket should move. I remember that it didn't take but a moment turning it the wrong direction, to realize I was going - in the wrong direction.

Not sure what you mean there. I cleaned up the surface of the commutator. Some suggest hooking the motor up to a battery and running it back and forth on the work bench to let the brushes in the motor clean off the windings.

Yes, just lift it up, rotate it 180 degrees clockwise (our counter clockwise, doesn't matter). You do not flip the gear over from one side to the other.
Thanks Jeff you are always helping me out. On Turing the wheel. You know that side does not have the wheel So i am turning the rod and i do not see anything moving. The bucket would not come all the way up Sunday. and when it is all the way down it is lose . So if anybody remembers witch way to turn the wheel to bring it up i would like to know Thanks

Standing on the driver's side of the car, with your right arm reaching between the hood and nose to access the wheel, rotate the wheel in the direction the headlight bucket wants to travel.
In this case, the top of the wheel should be moving towards the rear of the car.
I got it Thanks Again Jeff I was thinking of you last Summer A friend of mine brought some friends of his from Texas to my house for Lobster He is a Judge in Giddings, TX . If you go speeding threw there tell him you know me
