Sitting here watching an old Mike Hammer movie from the 50's. First Mike Hammer was driving an early XK Jag then after that got wrecked he got a 54 (I think, you could see the 6 cyl.) Vette. It's got a passenger side mirror. Now he's sittting on the front fender. Kind of fun.
I don't rcognize the guy who's playing Mike Hammer but it's got a "young" Jack Elam playing a thug.
Was Jack EVER a good guy????????????
The ONLY movie that I remember Jack portraying a halfway decent character was in the John Wayne movie RIO LOBO. He was a sort of cantankerous hermit, but not actually a vilain.
He was a good 'ole blue collar automobile assembly line worker on Tim Allen's Tool Time for a few episodes. Jack would look into the camera with that wandering right eye and Tim would say, "...and this is the guy that aligned your headlights"....freakin' riot...
