For those of you who have changed from stock to after market guages, can you share with me what you used? I want to keep my dash but go to electric. 65 roadster. Thanks.
Can't think of one good reason to do it. We like the mid year vettes because they are a throwback to another time, in their looks and their operation. Most of us could have bought a new or near new vette for what we paid for our 40 plus year old car, but we didn't want that. Why now change out what is old and unique about the car, to "improve it"? It's cheaper and much easier to buy a late model hardly used vette, and have all the latest technology with none of the downside. And enjoy the corvette experience.
thats my two cents. Add two bucks to it and you can get a cup of coffee.
I installed electric Auto Meter "Ultra Lite" gauges. In addition to the standard gauges, I also installed a oil temp. and fuel pressure gauge as well. Not difficult to install, just difficult to explain. Look at my picture album as it may give you an idea of what they look like but it is hard to see as I do not have a close-up picture of the dash.
