Hello Dennis; I found this old thread photos, and had to ask: is this the same paint job as is seen in your avatar photo? (ie; is that what this same color looks like in daylight? ) I have a silver pearl '67, and considering repainting, but like the slightly darker look in your pics.... thanks. Mike

Yes, it's my corvette. It very oringinal was repainted 20 years ago in its original color.

WOW..that SPP lasted a long time...STILL beautiful. Mr. Beck and your car just have that shine I love. The other cars are beautiful as well, but your on that trailer had my wife HOT! hahaha. Thx. Silver Pearl Poly is my paint then. Thx.

I know this may be an old thread however I am getting ready to have my 1969 painted. It is Cortez silver with a black interior. I want to keep it silver but with pearl added. How much and what color (Dennis and Mike) pearlescent did you use? Are both of these painted with the same PPG codes Dennis used.

I don't think the original 1967 Silver Pearl was actually "pearlescent" color.
I can't speak for Dennis; but my car , when purchased , was painted with Omni code 57U WA175E (actually not "silver pearl" but in fact "Platinum Metallic" ) The recent repaint was the same code, but my painter's preferred brand is Transtar.
