Default Original Bolt Identification

What is the best source/book for identifying what the original bolts used in my 1966 car probably looked like? I know I have quite a few that are wrong, especially undercarriage, and I can order from any number of sources, but even the sources that sell them do not seem to agree on what they should look like.

Once I identify what I need to replace, which source seems to be most accurate in their product offerings?

Thanks

the NCRS judging manual tells you what head marks are known original for the application

SADLY, 1966 NCRS JUDGING MANUALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.

I CHECKED AT THE KNOXVILLE EXPO THIS PAST SPRING, AND AGAIN AT CARLISLE ON SATURDAY AND THE SAME STORY. THEY'RE NOT AVAILABLE.

HOPE THEY BECOME AVAILABLE SOON.

I am doing a nut and bolt restoration on a 66 currently, and sadly none of the reproductions that i have ordered look like the originals. Fortunately, I have managed to find most of the original bolts to the car.
If you have a question about a specific bolt, i will try my best to help.

Larry,
If you were at Carlisle and went by the Paragon pavilion, they were giving away a very nice laminated chart (16" X 24") that has about every bolt on it used on a Corvette. It shows very clearly the head markings, bolt dimensions and location along with a Paragon part number. They must hand out about a thousand at every event.

I checked their website and couldn't find it, but if you give them a call...

Paragon Corvette Reproductions
8040 South Jennings Road
Swartz Creek, MI 48473
Phone: 800-882-4688
FAX: 810-655-6667
E-Mail: info@corvette-paragon.com

... I have no doubt they would send you one.

Good luck... GUSTO

No, I missed Carlisle or I surely would have picked one up. I will call them.

Thanks,

Larry

I appreciate it and I will definitely take you up on your offer.

To start with I am trying to find the bolt that attaches the power antenna to the bracket and the two bolts that hold the bracket to the car. I know what these are supposed to look like, but can not find a good source.

Thanks.

That was a special 1/4"-28 bolt (two different lengths), and Richard Fortier reproduces them - he advertises in the NCRS "Driveline".

John,

You may have provided me with Richards name on the NCRS board. I appreciate it. I will look him up in the Driveline. Thanks.
