Default Reusing leaf spring U bolts

Is it a bad idea? I've read not to reuse them, due to the rolled threads?? Anyway, the ones in question have only been on the car, a 62, about a month. Considering what could happen, I know it would be wise to put new ones on again, but I thought I would get some input anyways.

Have been re-using U bolts forever, and have never seen an issue.

And what is wrong with rolled threads (which are stronger than cut threads due to the lack of stress risers at the root of the threads)?

Unless there is an issue with the threads or the bolts are severely rusted, no reason not to re-use them. Of course, a new set with hardware is only around $40, so if that will help you sleep better.....the choice is yours. Pilot Dan
