Default 63 split window

i have been looking at a 63 split its in calif. i flew out to take a peek its been kept in a shed for 20 years. It looks great all the one year items there lights motors in a box all stainless inside and out great birdcage radio an early car interior is in a box as well as all the other parts bumpers lights ect. no rust on anything. The only thing i can see missing carpets windshield, motor is not a correct numbers match and trans not either but rear is ok and spare tire ok two scratches need touched up. do you think it worth $25,000. firm if i put it together over several weeks and had to sell could i get my money back. the wifes worried.

I can't imagine you not being able to get your money back if you change your mind down the road.

Colors? What is the condition of the paint and body? You're probably looking at 5 to 10K to get it back on the road. So is it worth 30 to 35K finished? Probably so - go for it. After 20 years you will have to go through the engine completely and before I spent anything on a non-original motor I'd invest an extra 300. or so for the correct block and rebuild that instead.

the paint great datona blue two scratches needs buffed out. I think four to five thousand to get cleaned up. frame good also the rear wells were cut out but replaced by cutting entire clip off and replacing entire panel.

You can get pictures into your Corvette Forum post by doing the following:
1) Go to www.tinypic.com
2) Upload your photo
3) On the page that appears, copy the text that starts with

4) Paste that text into your Corvette Forum post, to link that photo.

That method works well, but your photos will drop off of TinyPic after a few months if they aren't accessed frequently.

A more permanent method is:
1) Go to www.photobucket.com
2) Create a free photobucket account
3) Create a photo album (not required, but you'll quickly find it's better to have different albums for different types of photos - such as one album for each car you are working on)
4) Upload your photos
5) Copy the text that starts with
6) Paste that text into your Corvette Forum post, to link that photo.
