Question about C1 C2
I was reading a book about the Corvette that I have. It covers 53 - 01. I am now reading about the 56 and in this portion it says "Restyled second generation Corvette offered a choice orf 3 V-8 engines: 210 to 240 bhp. ...." Were there actually only 3 years in the C1 and 1956 began the C2 because of the redesign of the body and the added coves?" I am planning do a series about the Corvette in my club's newsletter but I find this rather confusing.
Is there some one who can explain?

The common generation seperation is nowdays known as C1 ( 1953 - 1962 the solid axle cars), C2 ( 1963 - 1967 The Sting Rays), C3 ( 1968 - 1982 The Stingrays and rubbernoses ) C4 ( 1984 - 1996 Hi tech stuff I'd know nothing about) ,C5 (1997 - 2004 Even more tech...), C6 (2005 ---> Traction control is no longer your right foot)
All of these, including the '53-'55 are considered C-1 by some people.
