Cleaning out my garage I found this part sinse it is blue it had to come from my 65 coupe.I believe it goes behind the door to cover up trim.Sold my 65 in 82,wish I still had it.
Yeah, goes mid-way up the door jamp opening, makes the transition between the vinyl trim behind the seat, and the halo panel that goes up and across the roof (has the dome light in it).
THe 65 Assembly Manual calls it a "Cap", part number 38463595 (Left), and 38463596 (Right). UPC 1, Sheet F12
Corvette Central's web site calls it a "PINCHWELT CAP" and is asking $103 for the pair, so that may give you some idea of value, and an alternate name.
