I haven't been able to drive or even sit in my Corvette due to the following.
I had Knee surgery [total knee replacement] this past Monday, the 5th of Oct.. I was in the hospital for about 30 hours, when the Doc. came in and found me sitting in a chair. I had been walking with a walker around the hospital. He asked what I had been up to, and I told him, and he said, your out of here. Came home Tuesday, and have been religiously doing the exercises, icing that they gave me along with home visits from visiting nurses and a physical therapists. Friday I was in the kitchen and walked over to the couch, I had left my walker in the kitchen about 20ft away not thinking. Sat. I kept the walker close but did not use it at all. So here I sit thinking what a great day for a ride and I can't drive.
The next best think is going in here and seeing what the real world is doing. Anyway, things are looking up and hope to be back at the wheel by next weekend.
Any one interested in the procedure You can go to zimmer.com, and drill down to knee replacements, and you can see the whole deal.
Hope I didn't depress anyone, but wanted to support anyone who is thinking about it.
Dennis, we have three things in common. The same name, drive a midyear conv. and hoping for a speedy recovery. I think I remember your original post and you stated it was your right knee. Is this correct? If so, pushing in the clutch won't be an issue. Get well! Dennis
