C E block
Curious, how much does a C E block devalue a car. This was a dealer warranty replacement engine. Original year CI and horsepower. Car still has the original trans and rear end. If you buy a new car and have engine trouble you logically bring it to the dealer to replace it. So even though its not the original engine, it's the next best thing.

From your other post you seem to have a 65.
The warranty blocks were not stamped with CE until 1969 I believe, which makes me wonder what type of engine warranty coverage was in place in 1965. was it 4 years?
Admittedly I'm too lazy to dig out my 65 owner's manual to find out at this time.

I guess the better question is how do you know that it's "original CI and HP". What is the casting number at the rear of the block on the left side and the casting date opposite of the previous mentioned number. Then what is stamped on the stamp pad at the front right side of the deck.
