Do rally wheels sell?
If I get a set of the Tourqe Thrust II's I would sell my rallys. Is there any market for them? What should I expect to get for them? The rears are 15x8 and the fronts are 15x7. I have about 3 or 4 extra center caps. People have given me through the years. Thanks
About 6 years ago I bought a nice used set of 4 Rally's 8" with Goodrich Comp T/A's mounted on them for $500.00, included were the 4 beauty rings and center caps.. and I have been very happy paying that price.....
Now I am going to put a set of 4 new Crager SS Mags all around with new Cooper Cobra's mounted on them....
but I am not going to sell my Rally's.. I'll just store them away..... :yesnod:
Inmyblood-I would think you could sell them to someone in the c3 crowd rather quickly. I am getting ready to dump the rally's myself in favor of a set of 15x6 or 15x7 torque thrust D's. I figured I might as well hang on to them because the money they would bring is probably not that substantial and one of these days I might be able to use them on something else.
Top Notch- The sevens and eight's will fit a 66, a friend of the family was over this weekend with his 1 owner 66 coupe. The body is completely unmodified and it has 8" rally's all the way around with 235/60/15 BFG's. He claims they have been on there for 20 plus years and they don’t rub on anything.
I sold a set that came with my car a couple yrs ago.
They were the widest used on a C3, is that 8"? 8 1/2"
Forget the stamped date & info.
Sold 'em with used slicks mounted for $150.00 for the set of 4.
no rings or center caps.
If you find a C3 owner that needs that year ect, could be worth
quite a bit. I just wanted the garage space and sold mine
fast to a Chevelle owner. :D
{Just noticed, there is a picture of them on page 2, picture #4
on my web page, they were mint, but prefer the 7" Torque Thrust D's}
I'm absolutely amazed. I have a set of repro KO's, and have already had a spinner come loose after only owning the car for two weeks. After reading all of the posts I got on the subject, I have made the decision to take them off and put on a set of rally wheels. I had just signed in and was going to read some more posts on the KO's, before I put up a post for "wanted to buy" a set of 67 rally wheels, trim rings, and caps. But, before I got there, I saw your message. I don't know what they are worth, but like the other post, if they will fit my 66 cpe, I am interested. I would prefer all the same size, but who knows. I'm just going put my KO's in the attic with the bias belted gold lines I took off, so if I ever decide to sell the car, and someone wants it back correct, I'll have the right stuff.
If you are anyone else is interested at a decent price for both of us, let me know, I'm ready.

Re: Do rally wheels sell? (INMYBLOOD)
To all, thanks for the comments. I can't sell them right this minute because that would leave me on blocks  . I do plan to have my car back on the street by May. So I will be deciding soon. I will look at them and see what markings are on them. I thought the 15x7's are worth the most?
I've ALWAYS said that the only thing that I would replace my original 5" wide wheels & hub caps with, would be Rally Wheels :yesnod: I don't know as I'd want them THAT wide, since it would require the purchase of new white-walls, but I'd consider yours if the other members in this thread aren't interested :nonod: (IF the price is right ;) )

Over the years, I have heard simiar complaints.
Your car will be better served using the 8" in rear and 7" in front. They will fit without any issues and look super. The 8" in the rear lets you put lot's more meat on the road than the 7"
I have a set of very nice 15 X 6" rally wheels. These are not DC coded for 67's but were bought over the counter. GM sticker with part number still attached to them. They are used, but very little. Perfect for C1's or C2's. I'm thinking $200 for the set of 4. I will have to look at them if the part number or code is of interest.
I sold my KO's because I feared the darn things might come off AND because I just could not stand all the Monkey Motions with the hammer. My car was going thru a lot of refirb for this and that and I always seemed to be taking off one wheel or the other. It got to the point where I would not tighten the wheels with the hammer cause I KNEW I would have to pound them off again sooner or later. More oftern sooner than later.
Result was that the car was more or less permanently laid up even between projects. I just sadi to hell with them. My wheels were really nice and I liked the look but that hammer nonsense....no way Jose! Now I just fire up the compressor, attach my air driven gun and the wheel is off before you can say original lead hammer.
I picked up a set late last fall. 2, 15-6 and 2, 15-8's with rings and caps for 60 bucks. I was the first one to show up. How lucky can you get. Now I'll put the 8's back on the '79 and these will go on the 60.

That was lucky because there is no way I's sell mine for that. :seeya
