Can't say that I'm overly impressed by the local parts houses and thus have gone to ordering on the web for much better deals.

Note the placement of the holes in the filter. This varies with the make and year with some almost totally perforated, and some with few perforations. I wonder if this makes any difference?

The perferations serve to help distribute the oil evenly through the pleated filter. I would want MORE rather than less to avoid excessive pressure drop when the oil is cold....which can open the filter bypass.
