Default broken sway bar bracket

A few months ago I posted that I had broken a swaybar bracket on a 62, this is the bracket welded to the bottom of the lower control arm. John Z suggested Vette Products of Michigan but it turns out they don't have them. Vette products made a couple suggestion that didn't pan out. I have called a number of used parts houses and many of the Corvette supply houses and I have still not found the part.
I broke this same part several years ago so I am sure others have had the same problem. I could sure use any suggestions you have to help find this part.

If this is a part that is not available, and is one that many people need, I would concider building a die to make it. I don't have a very good example on my car to get specs from, is there any way to get a print and material specs for the part? Does anyone know if the right and left side are the same or would I need to build a die for both?
What are the chances of selling enough parts to recup my investment?

Is this a unique problem? I have had 2 brackets broken and there don't seem to be parts available.

i have never broken one, and don't know of anyone who has. is yours so badly broken that you can't make a pattern from it?

Bill,

I'm sure I could make a pattern from mine, the right side is broken off but the left is ok. The problem is I won't be back in the U.S. again until May and was hoping to find a part that I could install when I returned. When I bought my car the right side was broken and I got the replacement from a junk yard, it was a bit pitted but I don't think that should have weakened it. I assumed because I had 2 broken parts that this was not an unusural thing but it appeares that it is. I had thought that if it was a part that a lot of people needed and was not readily available that I would build a die and make a few hundred pieces. Doesn't make much sense to go the trouble if I am the only one that needs one. I am sure I will eventualy find one. I am hoping that someone on the forum will know of a source and let me know.
