Default Ground cable
Brain fart.......I know the positive cable goes to the big post on the solenoid but where does the ground cable from the battery on a 63' hook to?

it is bolted to the frame just below the carrier

On my 66 the negative was connected to the mounting bolt for the starter.

My 63' is on one of the starter mounting bolts too.

Yes, now I recall it. Mine was attached to the starter mounting bolt as well.

If you want to secure your engine ground and get positive torque on your starter bolts mount the ground cable to a bell housing bolt. Then take a second cable from the bell housing bolt to the battery box mount at the frame. You, my friend, are grounded.
