Default Suspention?

alright its winter time. i want to change the suspension on my car, because the one i bought from mid america is not working for me. what are you guys running? I'm thinking of the kit from vbp with front and rear fiberglass leafs, but then i saw the coil over kit from speed direct. so i just want some opinions.

I'm setting up the car to autocross, drag, and get driven everywhere.

Default Rear Composite

I recently replaced mine in the 63 with a composite rear from Zip or Ecklers. I would have to find the receipt. No autocross or drags here but I do love the way the rear end feels now. The ride is much stiffer and I no longer feel like I am riding the back of an old Caddy. I replaced the springs and shocks with some boring yet semi correct Delcos.

Check with Van Steel. They have coilover and semi-coilover with tubular control arms.

We get rave reviews about the composite springs. If you're interested give us a call. Don't forget to ask for the forum first-time buyer discount!

it has a 360lbs fiberglass spring. the ride is great, it is mainly the front the kit i bought 4 years ago came with the 550lbs springs for the front and it sits like a 4x4 right now, i know i can get longer bolts to drop the rear. so i''m looking for something i can adjust

I run the full Dick Guldstrand RACE suspension package: springs, shocks, bars, and bump steer kit.

I have the VBP front suspension on my '66 -- upper and lower control arms with a composite leaf spring, and Bilstein shocks. Spring stiffness and ride height are both adjustable. I have it set to midrange, and it's pretty stiff, but that's the way I like it. And their control arms give greater caster and camber adjustment.
