Default Christmas Cruise and Photoshoot

Hey Gang!

Well, it was 6*C (43*F) and sunny today, and with the Fiancee out of town it seemed like a good opportunity for a cruise up the coast! It was freezing and foggy in the am - but as the fog lifted it revealed a beautiful West Coast winter afternoon. Clocked 100 miles on the car taking a trip 'round Stanley Park, up to the viewpoint on Cypress Mountain, and then up the Howe Sound coast and back downtown. Lots of happy people out today, good times.

Morning Fog:

The beach downtown - an elderly Gentleman in a cap with a cane came trundling up to me, and while pumping his arm asked, "Are you going to crank it up?" A little, I suppose. So, I layed down a couple of black patches for him while leaving the parking lot.

By the lighthouse in Stanley Park:

Japaneese Tourist Chick at the viewpoint on Cypress:

The view back to Stanley Park and the city:

Ships waiting to get into port:

In situ on Cypress:

Porteau Cove - guy comes up to me and says, "Gee, I really feel sorry for you - having to drive around in such an old car. Perhaps you could get yourself a Sprint or something?" So, I got him to take my picture.

View of Howe Sound:

Mountains and Highway:

And, safely back at home:

All in all, not a bad way to spend Christmas. Now, if the Fiancee's plane would kindly lift off from TO, I will then start the Martini countown clock...

DARGUY:

You are definitely doing it right. Drive it every chance you get and enjoy the scenery.

Thanks for the post and the photos.

Thanks for the comments, folks! It felt really good to stretch it's legs, so to speak - I haven't had it out for a proper drive in a while.

The Fiancee landed back in Vancouver at about 11:15 last night, and we had a few Martini's and opened up our gifts just after midnight - nice way to end off the day, everyone home safe and sound.

I just showed her the pics, not to worry - she's way hotter than that tourist!
