Don't like to bad mouth people, BUT, gave me a shipping price, payed it,shipping co. sent me a bill, said classic engine would not pay for shipping. promise engine on a certain date, made exclusives, why I couldn't get. If you can put up with that, than go for it.
I've had a very good experience with CEC. Bought a complete engine minus intake/carbs from Tom Luedeke six years ago, that sat in my garage due to my restoration plan delays
Did the break-in this past spring and discovered a valve guide issue during the first 500 miles, called Tom and with no question asked he said "send it back and I'll make it right". He repaired the bad guides and explained why they were bad in the first place. Sent me the head back with the gaskets to do the install in three weeks and all at no charge.
Now that's a stand up guy and great customer service
I bought engine parts from Classic and had good treatment. The guy knows his stuff. I had Classic do some machine work too and found his work to be very well done. I would use him again without question. Kurt
