Here is a add from 1953 union gas showing the 53 to 55 GM over the counter Accessory wire wheels I have on my 55 . GM called them out as Motor wheels.Which few Corvette guys know about. The cost today for one is usley more then all four original wheels and hub caps!
PS I made the mistake on my other post saying wire wheels. Sorry
GM called them out as Motor wheels.Which few Corvette guys know about.
That's because they were manufactured by Motor Wheel Corporation in Lansing, Michigan (the similar wheels used on Chryslers were made by Kelsey-Hayes).
From: If I say it's safe to surf this beach ......then it's safe to surf this beach
What about these wheels we saw a Kissimmee last year? I realize the center cap is different but are the wheels the same, or more modern? Regardless, they sure looked good on the red Vette......
They seem to look more like wont you can buy today , He might have seen mine and liked the idea and added newer ones . But still makes the Corvette look outstanding.
Excellent I love wire wheels, as my other passion is 60s/70s vintage Cadillacs. Roy, yours is my favorite car here on the forum.
Well thanks, but I like everyones Corvette because it's thier favorite and hope they enjoy thier Corvette as much as I do I just love mine and driving it more then any other Corvette I've had. ( it's old and so am I)
